Email Submit Compliance Reminder

February 12th, 2013

A lot of PeerFly publishers promote email submits, zip submits, and short form offers. These offers typically convert great and are a good fit for those new to marketing.  They help publishers really get the hang of paid traffic sources, tracking, and optimization. It should be noted, however, that you must follow the restrictions and specifications listed on the offer pages for every offer you run on PeerFly, even email submits. As with any offer or vertical you are promoting, you should make yourself aware of the regulations and guidelines that would be applicable. If you have any questions you are always encouraged to reach out to your account manager.

The “email submit” clients have to include very precise language and disclaimers on their landing pages and their banner creatives to be compliant with federal laws and regulations. As a general rule, Whenever the words “free,” “win,” or “prize” are used or implied in your ad copy, you must disclose one of the following immediately after in the same ad copy: “details apply,” or “participation required.” Deceptive or misleading ad copy is a surefire way to find yourself stripped of conversions, banned from the network, even involved in unpleasant litigation or at the center of a  regulatory investigation.

Our goal at PeerFly is to make sure that everyone of our affiliates is successful in scaling their campaigns and increasing ROI, but we must make sure that compliance is always adhered to. At PeerFly, we believe in the principle that long term success is far more important than making a “quick buck.” We follow that principle as a company and encourage our publishers to keep the same long-term approach. Online Marketing is a multi-billion dollar a year industry. There are too many ways to make a great living in this industry compliantly to worry about taking noncompliant shortcuts.

As a closing note, 2013 is starting out tremendously for PeerFly and many of our top publishers. If you have any offer requests that you’d like to see on PeerFly, please let us know. We have hundreds of offers on private status that may fit what you are looking for if you can do volume and have a quality history with PeerFly. We have seen publishers breaking records already this year, and are invested to do everything possible to help all of you achieve new levels of success in 2013. Let’s do it!
