Cross Promotion Opportunities – What The Hell Is That?

Cross promotion can be VERY lucrative if done properly. To explain cross promotion as simply as I can; it is simply promoting an offer that is not in the vertical you are currently working in to your consumers or a product that is in the same vertical, but slightly different.

Cross promotion works it’s magic when building a list or when you are “retargeting” your buyers. A little while back I posted a write up on how to promote CPA offers on Google and Bing. How In The Hell Can I Promote CPA Offers On Bing And Google? In this I explained a very simple way to begin building a list using the big dogs of search PPC. This in itself is a very effective way of making money but can be bumped up a degree or two!

Let’s get into cross promotion and how to use it to increase your ROI. Let’s say that you are entering the dating vertical and are building a list of people interested in checking out the latest dating sites. Now, the easy targets will be the men. We all know that. Dudes will be dudes. Period. But, let’s try focusing on our female audience for a bit.

So, we know that the ladies that are interested in learning more about the dating sites you promote to your list and that they are looking for either a solid connection or they are simply looking to have some fun! Another thing that they are going to want is to not deal with the same creeps or freaks out there that frequent the club scene. They either do not have time to hit the party scene themselves or are tired of dealing with dipshits.

Whatever the reason may be for your female list members being there, we now know a few common traits about them and we now have an angle for cross promotion. Enter the background check offer! Have a look at this offer.

 

 

Your angle is quite easy to approach: Who is that guy you just met online REALLY? You can never be too safe when you first meet someone!

With this you are now positioned to increase your ROI by not sending the same offers to your list repeatedly. Think about it, your female audience may have already found the dating site of their choice and not be interested in any others. This offer and approach could very well drive more profits from leads to an offer that they are interested in and is (loosely) related to the vertical you are in.

This can also be applied in many different ways to many different verticals. If you are promoting a popular exercise program why not also offer your list a weight loss supplement? Or you can also send them offers related to recipes. What about dating and a weight loss program? If you are single or newly single, you are going to want to look your best to attract a date.

The most important thing to remember with this is to be open-minded. Think of the vertical you want to enter and then think of other items that will be of interest to your audience. The more research you do on the demographics of your audience, the more clearly it will become what else to promote to them!
