Another Affiliate Summit has come and gone. I have to say, this was by far the best Summit so far in my opinion. The hours are long and there is a lot of work that goes into exhibiting, but the reward can be quite large if you make the most of the effort.
The Meet Market was quite large this year and the companies that had tables had their tables set up much in the same way as the booths are in the Exhibit Hall. There was plenty of room which was definitely needed once the crowds started pouring in. It was busy and loud, but it was still possible to conduct business.
The Exhibit Hall with all of the booths was in the same fashion as previous years at the Hilton; there was an upstairs and a downstairs section. The upstairs section seemed to have a little more traffic and action than the downstairs section. But, the upstairs section’s air conditioning worked better and there were tables arranged which were perfect for meetings or to slip off to the side for a few moments to sit and rest.
The parties for this year’s show in New York were on par for the parties of the past years. There was plenty of people looking to have fun, relax, and network while enjoying a cocktail and listening to good music.
PeerFly sponsored the Affiliate Ball this year. The venue was the Copacabana. The place was really nice and it is always cool going to a place with the history that the Copacabana has. The acoustics were set up perfectly and the artists that performed killed it! The show started with the house DJ as people were wandering in. Once everyone was in and settled there was new and upcoming Rap artists “Trayne” and “Edge Boss” that started things off right! They tore up the mic with their lyrical prowess and sheer energy. Next up was “Mix Master Mike” of the “Beastie Boys”. That guy was simply amazing. Ice T and Coco were on hand hosting the party and Ice T acted as MC for the “Affy Awards”.
You will have a very hard time getting me to say anything negative about Affiliate Summit East. I LOVE New York City and love the Summits. For those that are thinking of going to one for the first time, I highly recommend it. You will not find such a large concentration of people that are in the same industry anywhere. You never know who you are going to run into or where. I find it to be very motivational. Check out some of the pictures taken in New York on our Facebook Page.
I started marketing online in 2009 promoting CPA offers. I have stayed in that space since and have thoroughly enjoyed it! I was approached to work as part of the PeerFly admin and have never looked back. I love what I do and who I work with!
