Convert4Food 2016 Holiday Fundraiser

November 22nd, 2016

It’s two days before Thanksgiving and like most people, my thoughts are quickly shifting to my commute home and the turkey waiting for me. In our rush to prepare the perfect Thanksgiving dinner, its easy to forget that one in five Americans don’t know where their next meal will come from. One in four of those are children. Two years ago we launched Convert4Food to leverage the massive power of our publisher base to help those both here in Gainesville and across the country.

Convert4Food

From November 15th to December 31st, PeerFly will donate a portion of the proceeds from each conversion to help provide meals for those in need both this holiday season and throughout the year. You may have already noticed the “People Fed” counter on your dashboard, make sure to check back to see how your traffic is helping. Last year PeerFly publishers donated over 32,000 meals!

PeerFly Can Drive

Every year we break up into teams for a can drive benefitting Bread of the Mighty here in Gainesville. Last year we donated over 190 pounds of food and we’re hoping to beat that this year! Make sure you check out our Facebook page tomorrow to see the grand total!

I am glad so glad that Peerfly is helping to feed hungry people, especially at this time of the year. It feels good to be a part of something positive, even on a small scale.

…Honestly…as a vegan…I don’t know what to think about this. First thing this page talks about is turkey…!
Of course I feel bad about people who don’t have food to eat… Ironically the hunger on the undeveloped Countries happens because the food they produce (cereal grains) go to more developed Countries (Like the US) to feed the Cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys….for people to eat.
So…again…turkeys eat the grains that come from Countries where people are hungry but can’t eat them…because people from richer countries want to eat meat… you may want to think about that for next year fundraiser.
Want to help end the hunger? Go vegan.
    Don’t want suffering? Go vegan.
You know there are “childrens” on your plate too right? Calf, veal, piglet and chicks are babies…they want to live too. Go vegan.
Its the 21st Century? Go vegan.
    Love yo tou all.
